Matter is a total disappointment and so far has made the smart home worse, not better. Ghz wifi, not 5ghz. It’s near impossible to connect these plugs to apple homekit.

I went down a blind alley at first thinking i would need to buy a google device that supported the thread protocol there are currently only 3 nest wifi pro the secondgen nest hub and nest hub max which i didnt have

For the plug to be connected successfully to google home all of the devices the plug your mobile device and the google device google nest mini 2nd gen in my case have to be on the same wifi network

In the meross documentation it says that the plug needs to be connected to a router that supports ipv6
