You do just need to make sure you buy the correct kit as most just work with alexa and other non apple hubs.

The app interface is good scheduling is easy to set up but i mostly use voice commands with alexa

I used this to schedule bathroom mirrors with demystifier which cannot be left on 247 else the coils would burn hence needed multi day and time schedule

The qr code is neatly found on the side for reference during setup and its probably as small as a smart plug can get taking up minimal space

The connection is stable though i did need to switch my phone from 5ghz to 2
