The instructions for installation are better in the app than the paper ones that come with the product so power up the app for instructions while installing instead of waiting for it to be connected before loading the app

After installing and leaving it going for a while i tried turning the breaker off for a while and then back on and it retains all settings so it should survive power failures just fine without loosing settings

I had my father with me who is an electrician but he didnt really need to assist much as the instructions download the app first and add the device were step by step with photos and everything

Im not sure on the ease of installation and the alexa support i rarely use alexa and i got a professional to install it because i need light to work in my room
