Pros & Cons
Pros
The quality is as pictured - it's really good. Appears sturdy and well made. Easy to install and set up.
Meross connects to your wifi using an app and works flawlessly. You can schedule things at dusk and dawn so the schedule is reliant on the change of dawn.
Cons
It is a very inexpensive product and i guess you get what you pay for. Suddenly disconnected from network and will not reconnect. Claims password is wrong which is bs.
First one blew at 15a. Also, the setup requires unnecessary permissions and treating the smart plug device as a wifi network that you connect. Firstly, the operational aspect is poor.
Highlights
Quality
Timer works great, have the fountain on one plug and the lights on the second with separate programs.
The good:easy to install and set up.
The bad:this 2-outlet unit has protective plugs that get in the way and make plugging adjacent stuff difficult.
This is not the case with the 3-outlet model, the dummy plugs are out of the way and do not interfere with each other.
Price
This outlet is the crown prince though, because $15 will get you two independent smart outdoor outlets that pair with absolutely no drama.
Competitiveness
Their bulbs are way better and brighter than ge, philips, and sylvania and do not need a hub.
Works more reliably than my other name brand outlets.
