Pros

While not waterproof, they stand up to the rain nicely - there are waterproof merrills. Durable, wide, comfy boots. Heavy but very durable.

These merrell moab 2 shoes fit me perfectly (11. I realized they mis-measured - tried the size i would normally wear and bam - they are the best! They always fit him perfectly and for him there is no break in period.

I love the ones pictured here because they are a gorgeous light green. The ventilation is nice and they dry reasonably fast. Discounts are bonus.

Cons

Most comforatble shoes for walking seem to be inexpensive sports shoes. A real disappointment and would not buy them again. Definitely would not hike in these things.

The heel area is very high and there is 0 arch support. My toes were cramped. The slightest dampness outside leaves me with wet feet.

I normally don’t buy footgear online, but i was so familiar with this make and model that i knew it was a no-brained for the price.

Packaging/appearance

I was able to wear them all day, comfortably, out of the box.

I just received them and they are immediately comfortable and true to size right out of the box.
