Pros

No durability issues yet, but it's too early to tell. If you tick the various colors here you are likely to find some steeply discounted ones, under seventy beans. I love the ones pictured here because they are a gorgeous light green.

Cons

These shoes are downright dangerous! Don't waste your money. My only option is to toss them. Some ceo decides profits need to go up so he can get his bonus and tell shareholders profits are up.

Heel slippage and poor fit are my two big concerns. The heel - toe movement is far different. They have a creaking sound.

Merrell has discontinued the moab ventilator. The new moab 2 is horrible by comparison. It's uncomfortable and not near as durable.

I'm way past the return period for this item but extremely disappointed that it didn't work out. The problem is the inserts. I really wish merrell would solve this problem.

My foot moves around from side to side unless i cinch them uncomfortably tight. My foot sloshes around inside no matter how tight i tie the laces.

These shoes are built with good quality material and i would buy them again.

Quality, long-lasting soles, and you can beat the heck out of these and they’ll never fail you.

I will say though that these hiking shoes have been declining in quality.

I tried many other brands of hiking shoes but the quality wasn’t there, including solomon’s.

Price

I normally don’t buy footgear online, but i was so familiar with this make and model that i knew it was a no-brained for the price.

Take out the shoe strings and throw them in the wash.
