Pros
One of my pet peeve for a hiking shoe is that it must not slip against my heels. Why merrill those terrible liners in a great shoe beats me. Merrell always makes great shoes and are high quality.
They are very sturdy and hold up well. They grip the ground well and are very comfortable. They hold surprisingly great traction on slick turf as well.
The grey and black contrast is quite pleasing to the eye. It fits snug without being too tight. Received compliments on style from my men's prayer group.
They're comfortable and supportive. Aside from some dust they look and feel like new. Now they are everyday wear.
Cons
The foam that holds your heel/ankle in place wears out and blows out of the shoe. The arch support is so vastly out of place, that i would have thought a large foreign object fell into the shoe during construction, and accidentally got stitched into t... Read More
The tread is still great, they still look good, but the stitching is coming undone. It's possible that the stiffness of the vibram sole (not terribly comfortable for walking) and the rubber toe cap made the shoe tighter. The insole has no cushioning.
