Pros & Cons
Pros
These are my newest and we're comfortable out of the box, and may to break in. Durability is another standout feature of these boots.
Tough outsole provides excellent traction on various surfaces. Comfortable, waterproof, and durable. Excellent all-around hikers.
Cons
There is a seam about 1/2 in from the opening of the boot, which rubs constantly causing blisters. The waterproofing is all gone, and merely walking through short wetgrass soaks both of my socks and feet. Not enough flex in the toe area on the europea... Read More
Busted eyelets on two pairs. Paid too much to end up with one busted pair of boots.
This shortfall overcomes the positives, and is the reason for the rating. No i am stuck with a worthless boot.
The boots are not remotely waterproof. There seems to be no protection from the moisture at all.
Highlights
Quality
Superb comfort and foot wrap; solid, stiff sole, good footbed.
Great arch support i have flat feet great traction waterproof super comfortable.
Wore them to mow very wet grass and feet remained dry (only time will tell how they fare in adirondack weather).
I hesitated before buying these, as i had a pair of low merrells that were not comfortable nor waterproof.
Price
I bought them on sale and i love them.
The good:the price here is about 20 bucks cheaper than a store down the road, so that was nice.
Overall if you’re looking for a solid hiking boot for $75, grab these.
Shipping
These shoes just came in yesterday just very slightly give me this issue on day 1, but i think if i adjust the laces perfectly i am good.
Competitiveness
I completely wore out my last pair of hiking shoes/boots and got a good deal from a name brand company that also makes ski boots.
I prefer more cushion so i returned and replaced it with the merrell gtx which fits about the same but is less expensive.
That included lowa, keen, jim green, hoka and new balance hiking boots.
