Pros & Cons
Pros
My biggest love of these shoes is how the sole of the heel is curved. The cushioned sole protects the knees, the soles of the feet and the achilles heel from injury. They fit great and were comfortable but the sole is separated.
These are great on wet pavement and gravel. They have adequate traction in pretty much every terrain. They are strangely spongy which takes a little getting used to.
Big ol' shoes down there. Totally digging these shoes. But it’s still odd. Sadly it seems like merrell is discontinuing these shoes.
This is the first pair of merrell shoes that i have ever owned, but it absolutely will not be the last. Second pair, first showing tread wear after 2+ years. They are just starting to show and feel needing to be replaced.
Cons
Shoe is disgraceful. Seems to be some strange new fad to put an arch support on the outside of the foot where it should be flat. Inside liner is a typical example of all the manufacturers inexpensive-high-profit-gimmick of designing these shoes.
