Pros & Cons
Pros
These shoes are great for walking barefoot and without socks. They have a comfortable toe box, adequate trail cushion, and a nice toe bed. a little snug, especially in toe box. Great for those who prefer to walk barefoot with no socks.
This is my first shoe with a vibram sole and they're really nice. Easy to clean, mostly just rinse/wash them off outside with a water hose. New designed grip works great on/off road and dry or wet.
Sizing is as expected in my case. They have a wider toe box, which i don't always like, but they support the ankle/heel well enough that they are still very stable and your feet have room to splay out under loading. The snug fit around the arch makes ... Read More
Merrell has yet to disappoint with the trail glove 7. They're just a tiny bit shorter than the 5s but with a wider toe box. The 7's are also less flexible than the 4's, which makes sense since the sole is thicker.
Cons
This new iteration is super narrow. The heel is way too shallow. Too much arch support and really stiff sole. Even though toe box is ok is feels like my feet are spilling over the sole on the arch side.
Highlights
Quality
Great minimalist shoe and the new designed grip works great on/off road and dry or wet.

Price
But for $109, this does seem overpriced.
Packaging/appearance
The toe boxes on these are nice and wide so my wide-set toes don't get pinched.
Competitiveness
Think i like these better than my other brand of "barefoot" shoes.
Looks great fits great so comfortable way ahead of the big 3 brands who would have thought merrell is best but they are!
A little more cushion than another popular brand of barefoot shoe.
