Pros & Cons
Pros
Plenty of room for an additional dr scholl’s insole insert. Why merrill those terrible liners in a great shoe beats me. Merrell always makes great shoes and are high quality.
Cons
Really * that amazon would allow manufacture non approve sellers on their web site. Shame on your, merrill. Big mistake. Merrell needs to explicitly state as much in their warranty exclusions on their website or perhaps no longer sell their products o... Read More
Average use. Not durable. They are advertised as waterproof. It sticks in your socks as well.
The arch support area of the inserts are way too big! They have virtually no torsional resistance along the long axis, which causes them to lack sturdiness. It's possible that the stiffness of the vibram sole (not terribly comfortable for walking) and... Read More
My shoes keep falling apart. The new shoes did, however, match the pattern of my old moab 2's.
Highlights
Quality
Solid construction, durable sole, and very comfortable to walk in on grass, dirt, rocks, and asphalt.
They are very sturdy and hold up well.
I am very hard on my shoes and even these shoes i have to replace twice a year.
These last for about 6-8 months which for me is expected for how much i abuse them every single day.
Price
Highly recommend it especially for that price.
To me, you can spend more but you won’t be getting your moneys worth.
If you're looking for a good activity shoe, this is worth the price.
99 later for some memory foam liners and ahhhhh!
Shipping
Size is perfect, and shipping was very fast.
Packaging/appearance
I gave it 4 stars because i got a pair of boots that didn't have a box and were a little muddy.
Honestly they were so comfortable right out of the box i didn't even need to.
Competitiveness
I’m comparing these to my solomon gts.
Replaced some quite old hiking shoes from columbia and i feel the difference.
I found out that the new sole emblem is actually real and that that manufacturer is a new "partner" with merrell.
I was originally worried that these might be some kind of "knock-off" brand but they are not.

The heel cup is somewhat oversize which required an insert to keep my foot from flopping up and down in the shoe
