Merrell moab boots continue to hit the sweet spot for value and comfort. The overall fit around the top of the boot is sturdier and feels more secure. With gore-tex liner it’s hard to beat keeping your feet dry working in wet conditions.

Merrell shoes are always my favorite for outdoor activities. Good treads for traction but don't leave tons of mud everywhere. Perfect for anyone who works outdoors.

Cons

Moab 3 are not as comfortable to me, they are def not the same feel as the moab 2. These gortex boots are not waterproof my feet were soaked from walking in the rain. Will try something else.

Update to this review: these boots are not waterproof as advertised.

The shoes seem sturdy and well made in the few days i have worn them to break them in.

Price

On a lark because they were on sale, i purchased these merrell hiking shoes even though i can't take serious mountain hikes.

Excellent cost-benefit ratio, i used them for a 12-hour route and they fully met my needs, the waterproof membrane worked perfectly.

Overall a decent hiking boots for the price.

The pair i got was on sale for almost half off which is why i got them, and i do not regret the purchase.

I decided to spend the extra for the new 3 version as well as the gore-tex.
