As with any of these water proof runners, it's not really 100% water proof since water can still get in from the lace area and or around the ankles.
Highlights
Quality
These are great - sturdy and comfy, our 10 year old is really happy.
The rugged sole is supportive and mutes the feel of rocks/uneven ground, and also helps stop slipping on steep descents.
These are not fully-waterproof multi-hundred-dollar professional equipment.
The tread on the bottom of the shoe is well done.
Price
I was very pleased with the price.
Overall i’d recommend them if you can get them on sale like we did.
Competitiveness
I get close to two years before needed to replace which far exceeds most all other brands for my kids at this age.

As with any of these 34water proof34 runners its not really 100 water proof since water can still get in from the lace area and or around the ankles being such a low cut shoe if its very heavy rain or your kid decides to step into ankle deep puddles

A nice little surprise was that the 34greyhi vizorange34 version of the shoe has high visibility yellow parts that are almost glow in the dark bright at night

No issues and lasted a full 5 mo over dozens and dozens of miles during a busy summer hiking season until outgrown

The time we got caught in a downpour for over an hour halfway through a bike ride on the pacific coast yes our kiddos feet did get wet and so did the adults in salomon and brooks goretex shoes

Its not so much a con as a reality dont buy them if you really need rainboots for the playground or a hardcore boot for a long trek
