Pros & Cons
Pros
First and foremost, these shoes are built to last. The exchanged pair was shipped so quick and received them within a few days. He's very happy they arrived picked up at the amazon locker.
These hiking shoes are built to withstand the rigors of outdoor exploration. They hold up well against scrapes, scuffs, and rough terrain. They provide excellent traction and stability on various terrain types.
Cons
Shoes are pre-laced slip-ins (with one velcro strap), this is a big problem. The outside is still in good condition, but my son has worn a hole through the insole at his heel. Pressing on the heel portion of the in sole made a weird crunching sound.
Highlights
Quality
Very well made and comfortable- 7 yr old son loves them!
Great quality and color, the soles have a great grip for hikes.
One of the standout features is the rugged sole, which provides excellent traction on different terrains.
A little stiff and snug at first but have broken in well.
Price
I do think these shoes are worth the money.
Competitiveness
Overall, the merrell unisex-child trail chaser hiking sneaker is a reliable and comfortable choice for young hikers.
