Pros

The boots run a little short. Definitely recommend these hiking boots. Merrell are my favorite brand.

Hightops give the most ankle support of any shoe i have found. Not too strange arch support, just right, normal.

They are comfortable from the first day, but i would definitely size up to allow for thicker socks. First time on a 4 hour hike in seattle mtns and not one issue. This is my second pair and the first pair lasted quite a while.

Cons

Merrel needs to get their shoe sizing together. When you put them on they are is is “chunky” looking on the foot and they run very small.

Being situated in sa it is not an option to return as i will lose out on almost $150 in shipping costs. Really disappointed and frustrated and feel cheated.

They are some what waterproof but not really as i found out on a slushy day. My feet got soaked walking in dew covered grass. They are slippery in the rain, and they are not waterproof!
