Pros & Cons
Cons
The insole is too thick and hard, the toe box is wider than the moab 2s and is angled oddly upwards which makes them weird to walk in. Just real funky and bulky at the top, makes a mess of my pants.
These cost $90 and the salomons cost $150. Shame on merrill for manufacturing and selling such an inferior product. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
They seem to be about 1/8 inch smaller than advertised. They're also heavy and clunky. They are so much wider inside that there is no support. Grip is average, support is average and fit is average.
Highlights
Quality
They are pretty good no slip, comfortable, good arch support, etc.
First pair lasted 7 years (sorta)…best shoes i’ve ever owned.
They fell apart and had to use shoe goo to kind of repair it but over time they still came apart.
Disclosure, i’ve only wore them for 2 weeks so far, on every surface.
Price
They are reasonable in price and and do a lot of things well.
Good comfortable shoe fair price fast shipping!
Thought i was buying the ones i know (moab 3 prime) the primes are all leather and about $20 more.
Yes, they cost a little more than what i was accustomed to buying, but since that first pair i keep coming back to them for a few reasons.
Shipping
I got a very good deal, the boots arrived earlier than what was scheduled and have been great.
Competitiveness
I've had other merrill's and these are just as great fitting and comfortable.
At $80, a significant discount, and lower than other competitors.
Yes, they're now worn out (thus the reason for this purchase) but they've been through a lot and gave me more than my money's worth.
