They mentioned that they were comfortable right out of the box, lightweight, and provided excellent support for all-day wear. Very comfortable, durable, water proof, they also will keep feet warm!
Only 1 con, laces don't want to stay tied😁 i can live with that.
Never got a blister nor did my feet ever get wet while walking through creek beds 🥰
Price
Very happy with them and the price was worth it.
Competitiveness
Although i can't say which brand is better -- each shoe is different -- these make great replacements.
The last pair of hiking boots i purchased years ago were merrills and the company is still making great boots.
I have tried on many different brands of hiking boots and none of them fit or felt as comfortable as this one.
I have a slightly wide foot (bunions), so i stick with wide width or brands that tend to have wider toe boxes.

The inserts are just fine and has an arch however if you’ve ever had planter fasciitis you’ll understand why i’m a little cautious and replaced with my arch orthotics but may try a walk with the original inserts as they seem like they would be fine
