Pros

They look funny but can still wear them with thicker wool socks if i needed to. My only complaint is the coating on the toe will scuff.

The arch support & stable footbed is perfect for me. The bottom is not very padded, but that could be fixed with an insert. My only qualm is they didn't have much arch support and were quite firm.

These are great hikers. I love these hikers and the best part is they are waterproof. They are comfy to walk or hike in all day. Hiking shoes were a tighter fit than previous years.

The look, style & color offerings are passable, but function is great. Merrell is my go-to shoe brand from now on. Not to mention, makes me look stylish. The merrill siren edge is the winner.

Cons

They pinch on top of the foot and rub you sore, very hard insole. These hikers are short arch and uncomfortable to my toes. They are quite comfortable and lightweight but they are not at all waterproof. Unfortunately too big.

Zgood waterproof & no slip soles with good sturdy traction

After 15 minutes my feet were on fire and hurt.

And, the first few weeks i wore them, i didn't notice any water leaking in while walking the dog in the park.

Price

Only complaint is that the wide size was about $30 more, but still worth it.

Competitiveness

Depending on the shoe, i sometimes were a 6 1/2 or a 7, so i ordered both sizes to compare.
