The board came shrink wrapped and in great condition.

Daily heavy use and frequent oiling this board is still in one peace but it did notably and unevenly faded

As such it is likely intended to for decorative purposes rather than cooking

I suggest you also get some good quality food grade cutting board oil or beeswax product and use it regularly

If after extensive use you begin to see cut marks in the board get some sandpaper 80100 grit and a sanding block sand the surface until the marks disappear and apply oil and beeswax generously

However when its time for oil and wax application flat side is very easy but the grooved part is little tricky to apply oil and wax
