Fan cooling keeps the top of the pi cooler than the bottom. Fan cooling allows the server to run at 5v to turn more quietly.

The pi 3 is affixed to the back of my tv safely enclosed in this attractive, functional case. It wouldn't look out of place in a home entertainment console. My only complaint is that at this time there is no anodized blue raspberry pi 4b case.

Metal case provides better rfi screening and heat dissipation. The acrylic has paper or plastic protectors to prevent their becoming scratched. The aluminum case has a pleasant semi-matte paint on all edges that i have yet to scratch off.
