It seems to have some onboard speaker/piezo that plays some chimes while booting up. Would of liked to try booting from the tf slot.

Using it with orbi rbr50 mesh network in ap mode. I have yet to look into ipsec performance, but i expect with aes-ni this unit should power through the packets. It's quiet and has plenty of performance to support vpns back to my netgate 6100.

The patriot viper steel is definitely dual ranked and incompatible. There is a jumper inside that locks the unit on 100% of the time and disables the power button. Skill, patriot, and corsair was not clearly labeled.
