Pros & Cons
Pros
G ports is another bonus as i can't afford to upgrade yet but am planning on. Has two slots for ram (i have 2x16gb ddr4-2400's, corsair vengeance, installed for 32gb memory) has two slots for m. Gbe nic and ran a speed test and was getting ~2. Gbps ni... Read More
Runs great with opnsense. Company was very responsive in sending a vesa mount plate to wall mount.
This is very much appreciated. The replacement unit works like a charm!
It seems to have some onboard speaker/piezo that plays some chimes while booting up. Would of liked to try booting from the tf slot.
No regrets with this purchase. Props to the seller for a quick turnaround on that. All and all these are a great deal and they work.
Cons
The patriot viper steel is definitely dual ranked and incompatible. There is a jumper inside that locks the unit on 100% of the time and disables the power button. Skill, patriot, and corsair was not clearly labeled.

Competitiveness
Even virtualized, the opnsense maxes out my 1gbps bi-di fiber internet.
Like others have mentioned my unit came with two sodimm slots and i used both.
Like others have reported, after setup the unit that arrived would not post or boot with both sodimm slots populated.
5gbps but with 1gbps max and the two other vms running in the background, the cpu barely hits 20%.
