Pros

It's much more intuitive than the old toolbar system. The major stuff is under the medallion and you can customize the top bar menu. The contrast feels sharper.

Works great tand makes me tons more productive. This profuct is awesome for the price.

This version is what you'll need to have to run an efficient home office. Still, it does what it needs to do. Solid improvements there. This is to address some of the other criticisms.

Cons

I find the new ribbon interface totally infuriating. How microsoft would let a problem like this get through testing is beyond me. It illustrates the incompetence that has become the norm for this organization.

Got it for a good price, as well, with my amazon gift certificates.

The price that i got, is just amazing.

So thank you so much for selling all these microsoft software with a really low price.

Shipping

The product arrived promptly and was exactly what i ordered.

Software was delivered as described and very quickly.

Sent the product in a timely mannner.

Shipping turnaround with super saver: 2 days.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging was like new and it was easy to install.

Came in unopened case with security codes intact.

I guess that office needed a new look, but i am not sure if i buy the advertising that the ribbon will make my work more productive.

I read the review centering on the box the dvd comes in and must admit that i was stumped as well.

Competitiveness

Overall the visuals are superior in this release to those in 2003, especially in access and powerpoint.

The addition of the free 2010 just makes the deal even better.

The linux and open-source people have some valid points about microsoft, but i am sorry, in this case, nothing touches ms office 2007.

Docx file this format is not the same as the opendocument standard.
