I used an app called karabiner which is free to remap the mouse input to do what i wanted its a little advanced so probably not suitable for the average user but for someone whos more technical you can get a lot of functionality out of this mouse

Ive gave 4 stars instead of 5 just due to occasional connectivity issues paired mouse wont connect unparied wont show in bluetooth device search which can be a bit annoying

By default swiping on the windows button down is set as back action in the browsers which unless youre used to it can cause occasional frustration with loosing form data by touching it by accident
