They dont make these anymore so if you find one new and with the software for $200 or less you better jump on it !
It is a crying shame that microsoft has announced that it is halting production on this product.
Price
The only drawback i can find with it is the price.
A great stick at a good price.
Competitiveness
Very forceful and acccurate and fits my small hands better than other brands.
The joysticks bottons are placed well and it is easy to setup and use.
You cant buy these things on ebay for less than the original price.
It won't be a state-of-the-art, brand-new, screen-accurate replica of maverick's controls, but it'll get the job done.

I will say that because the device is heavily used the force feedback motors do intermittently cut out

I have seen the force feedback fail entirely only once and replugging the device corrected it instantly

As soon as a new model comes out hardcore gamers either sell cheap or simply throw away their outdated hardware
