Pros

Its 'basic' support through hid drivers is better than any 'fancy' logitech joystick. Works fine on xp, no downloads or cds needed. I have some microsoft flight simulators but my old joystick quit working properly.

The precision 2 has a metal base so a static mat is recommended to remove any static build up problems. The twist-rudder feature is nice if you don't want to spring for rudder pedals. Highly reliable, very comfortable, very good looking on the shelf.

Cons

Microsoft drops its product support for anything it makes within 2 years after its release. They prefer that you purchase a newer model which increases their carbon footprint, and toss the older model into a landfill.

Easy to use, works great, not too stiff like some other joysticks.

While i have used it, i have been very happy: great accuracy/precision, enough buttons to be sufficent, and comfortable controls.

My first joystick lasted some time, but suddenly it stopped working because the wire (apparently) broke.

With today's digital laser joysticks, most will not last more then a year with general use.

Price

This joystick has been out for about a year now and is still worth the $50 i paid for it.

Best $30 someone's ever spent on me.
