The device itself is so well built and textured/dial weighted. The dial feels terrific. This is a great little gadget to own, but it's not quite a can't live without it gadget.

The surface dial is hampered by mediocre software and baffling design choices. I have a surface pro 4 and tbh it's just sorta useless on that surface.
Highlights
Quality
Works great in conjunction with the stylus on my surface pro 7, which is really where it shines.
I think it shines when you are working with the pen, because then you have the other hand to use the dial and it makes most sense.
With the stylus, this is not the tool for you.
Good quality but i think i don't need it.
Price
Yes there is a learning curve, yes there is zn adaptation lag but, yes it is well worth the effort and price.
The price will keep people away, however.

The setup could be faster and better if you could simply type the keyboard shortcut instead of a dropdown with limited combinations

Functions are somewhat limited with the exception of a few graphic apps but hopefully there will be more support roll out over time

I was looking for a trackpad keyboard that would allow me to kickback with my feet on the desk or sit upright ergo style…something versatile and i ended up scratching my head and understanding that there is a huge gap in the marketplace for a trackpadshortcut interactive device for windows
