The pen is a major improvement and it fits firmly on the left hand side of the screen with a magnet because of this the volume rocker is now on the top edge of the device

Arguably most developers will aim for the i7 8 or 16gb variants but i had the i5 4gb in my hand so tested it with some worst case scenarios

Visual studio 2016 and all addons installed successfully and i was able to use the device to work on a web application using edge and wireshark alongside a virtual machine to test deployments and multiplatform browser tests more on virtual machine performance later

Virtual machine performance was adequate i had to specify the nonoptimal ram settings to ensure i had enough to work on the host operating system alongside the guests

I decided to use virtualbox and disabled hyperv built in as hyperv does have undesirable effects in my experience in power management even when not running a vm
