Its heavier, it feels like excellent quality works with both windows 7 and windws 10, this one is just great, i havent found its equal yet.

Smooth scroll wheel with the ergonomic comfort.

Had to use the transmitter with the new one as it would not communicate with the original model keyboard/mouse.

I had a 500 for ~3 years, then it got flaky with the pointer sometimes skipping around.

Overall, it's a great full-size mouse, and it really does track on anything!

The only issue that prevented me from giving this a 5-star review is battery life for my current device with my current workstation.
