Pros & Cons
Pros
Used these under my 2015 jeep jku for a courtesy entry light. One set in the recessed area above the queen bed (same width) the 2nd set for under the bed garage area in my van conversion. Both strips are very bright and install easily.
Spring loaded on/off switch for the tailgate. Comes with adhesive backing. Requires an upfitter harness to activate them.
My apologies for the misdirection/ wrong review. Product is easy to install, wired into power supply in trailer harness. Would recommend. Except for one con. Easy to install.
Cons
Installed and extremely dim. The included harness is a joke. It is no where near long enough to go from under the bed rail on one side of the truck, under a liner or the bed to the other side where the switch and power would be.
Adhesive on the back of the bed rails is non existent. Fuse holder looks good, but cover will not close because of shoddy construction.
Poor soldering is the issue. When you email mic tunning's support address, emails bounce back. If you call, there is no one to speak to but a message.
Highlights
Quality
Works great, bright, installation problems mostly due to the vehicle not the product.
Easy to install, itβs been in the truck for a month, working good and helpful ππ½
After installing these, the temps in the cap reached well over 100 degrees f for consecutive days and they have stayed stuck.
The spanned from bracket to bracket on the steps and the wire was thin enough to pass through the factory grommets.
Price
This led light strip is a great value.
This item is a great purchase for the pricedo not depend on the doble side tape that comes withvery easy to install
You can get them at any hardware store for like $3 a piece.
Packaging/appearance
Now i can see my boat trailer at night under water when loading the boat, and it looks amazing.
Competitiveness
Followed directions similar to the ones sold on quadratech so i knew which wire to splice into.
