Pros & Cons
Pros
Author mixes it all together with the skill she usually displays--and of course she tosses a fractured fairytale into the mix, too. Luminous and amazing.

Seanan mcguire is a master of making mundane feel magical and making magical feel normal.

I was therefore glad that roger and dodger are not fighters in any but the metaphorical sense.

Mcguire hits you at 100 right at the start reminding you that this book is called middlegame for a reason – everything has already been set in motion and we are here just to see it watch it play out
