Pros
The critter nation is the best of the best when it comes to rat cages. This cage is absolutely amazing for housing your furry friends. The shelf has attachment points under it for hammocks too.
Cons
I think i ended up with the dodgy box - this cage has such good reviews and i was expecting a really well built cage. Not very happy but was very desperate and had already had to wait longer than i wanted so just made the best of a bad situation.

Huge doors and coverings for shelve allow for much easier cleaning and toy/bed organisation.
We don't use loose substrate, we use home-made cage liners (relatively easy to sew) and some rubber-backed rugs cut to size.
Shipping
It arrived a week early which was great as was able to resettle ratties in early.

Not much bigger in the overall space it took up including a small table i had it on but the habitable space is larger and the size much more uniform no tapering at the bottom

I thought they were content before but this cage they just seem much more relaxed and much less reluctant to return when playtime is over even returning voluntarily sometimes
