Pros
The fabric feels nice and breathable. Not too baggy, not too tight. Elastic on the waist and inside, a long waist band to tie.
Shorts are great value for the money. Zippered front pocket is great for running shorts. Comfortable, good coverage, good moisture wicking. Better than generic athletic shorts.
These make speed walking more comfortable with zero resistance and much cooler. Great for working out or just running errands. I also use them as swim trunks and they have done just fine.
They are the only 3'' shorts that have verything. My only gripe is the awkwardly long drawstring.
Zipper pockets hold small stuff (large stuff like a phone would flop around uncomfortably), but seem fine for a key or two. Each side has a breathable panel.
Cons
Low setting in dryer, and all have failed in the liner in the same manner. Because of the zippers on the pockets, the hips curve out from the waist.

I am in search of a replacement softer infantry shorts, black knit with liner, don’t make them anymore
I’ve not been able to run for years but these would be good running shorts for short-mid distance.
