Kind of flimsy gets easily knocked from position

After i had put it in place i had to move the file cabinet away from the wall to accommodate the curtains

When i received the extender it had 4 long white strips included but no instructions on what they were for

I figured they were to be put on inbetween the 2 pieces of plastic to help them slide

Well once i pulled the paper strip off one side and attached it to the vent cover i realized i was wrong
