Not sure why it is pictured that way, but its to go outside your shower!
#1, it should not be used as pictured… do not put it in your actual shower (it is not to be used as a shower floor liner!

I would highly suggest placing some nonslip strips on the slats of mat as it has a smooth slick surface to it
