This is most easily noticed when rapidly switching between the native desktop macos 11 or 12 and a windows 10 virtual machine using vmware fusion when the keyboard will often get stuck in either the native os or the vm and require refocusing between them to correct

Having cables which are built with usbc plugs on one end and then the correct usb plug on the other end a b mini micro are much more reliable and good to have on hand when you need them
