Pros & Cons
Pros
The meross plugs work perfectly with samsung smart-things, siri and alexa2. The scheduling option works well (melrose app) and allows the coffee machine to power on well before i wake up. They look and feel well made and they're very easy to set up.
Top notch, worth every penny. My only complaint is their size. Overall very pleased with it.
Smaller size means you don't have to locate them in every socket. No issues with loss of connectivity. Zero lag on 2. Ghz wifi. Fiddly to install.
Philips hue dimmer switch works great. Easy to turn on & off. Not really an issue as flicking a switch can be loud.
Cons
This is not easy to install. Very clunky. Returned for a refund. For the manufacturers - shame on you.
Highlights
Quality
Seemingly good quality, compact plugs that easily integrate with apple home kit.
For the price, i think they are very good.
Packaging/appearance
After setting up, the phone can go back on the 5ghz.
Competitiveness
I’ve got a homepod mini to act as a “bridge” you can link it to apple tv or homepod and you can control the device from anywhere.
Meross products are, without doubt, the best value homekit accessories on the market right now, ikea included.
I only wish it worked on 5ghz wifi.
4ghz wifi that the plugs will be using, it won't detect them if on a 5ghz on the same lan.
