Pros

Gb of ram and a decent disk size. Switching out the ssd would not be easy. Gb ssd is very quick so computer boots very quickly.

Plugs-n-plays with our 32” dell monitor via the thunderbolt usb-c cord. The ports all seem to work well. Update 06/08/22 the following connector works to connect the display port to an hdmi monitor.

The fan is as quiet as advertised and there are plenty of ports available. Quite noisy at start up, but settles down to running quietly almost immediately. Small form factor is easy to tuck away if that bothers you.

The amd ryzen is fine for my office work and light photo editing. It runs productivity apps like 365 and video exceptionally well. It's perfect for browsing, streaming, and general productivity.

Cons

Tried uninstalling, reinstalling radeon. Windows still has zero audio, i use blue tooth headphones, but the bluetooth constantly loses it's hardware connection.

Only one of the usb-c ports in the front is usb4/tb. Crashes so often it is unusable as the computer is completely unstable. Going back to standard hd (not ssd), and better support. You have to rely on the main pcie ssd only. The tech support is not h... Read More

I am about ready to pull all of the hardware apart and get the soldering iron out. Never seen this prob, in over 25 yrs building pcs. Prob start looking for another co. Ssd to the bay.

Shipping

Came promptly, and was easy to set up and get going.

Came wit windows 10 and upgraded easily & free to windows 11.

I didn't want windows 11, but that's show it came shipped.

I originally purchased this via their web store but their wait time was about a month.

Packaging/appearance

The b550 was packaged well and came with a case for storage of when traveling.

Competitiveness

Which brings me to amd and their drivers being an issue.

I would strongly suggest to anyone purchasing this unit to immediately replace the ssd with a more reliable brand.

For users who are rely on better online and human customer service from dell and hp, this is not the computer to get.

Compared to the hx90(5900hx) with a similar spec, i don't notice any performance difference.
