The back cover is a bit thicker and made of gray unprinted cardboard and while not beefy like the back cover of a cambridge 43852 writing pad theyre not the worst ive seen either

Spiral coil the coil is what id call typical for a reasonably priced spiral pad not the beefiest ive seen nor wimpier than most

The paper took all of these very well with no bleed through or spreading of the ink on the front surface with the exception that the levenger fountain pen ink bled through just slightly where the ink flowed most heavily the stop of the first stroke
