I can't comment on drying time as i gave all of it a few days, and even when i did the two applications, it was 24 hours apart.
Once the filler dries and is sanded, it takes stain very well, blending seamlessly with the surrounding wood.

Its better if you use it up quickly though because it dries out fast

The product works well but the package i received had been opened previously and was somewhat dried out
