It's never hand anything over the original finish other than paste wax followed by buffing with a home floor buffer.
With all good things extra isn't better and patience recommended to finish drying

This minwax substitute seems to work as well at lower cost.
I think it is worth the price and it just gets the job done.
Johnson paste wax has gotten rather expensive (but goes a long way).

Its used to keep the tables for woodworking slick to the pieces glide smoothly during cutting

The resulting sheen in my opinion gives a little elegant look than modern high or satin gloss polyurethane which is what ones sees everywhere

I ran out of johnsons and this isnt bad but it isnt as good
