Buy a dollar store plastic measuring cup to keep in the bag

You spread 14 cup in each 4 foot section mixing it 13 inches into the soil depth taking care to keep it off the trunk and more towards the drip line where the water drips off the leaves and into the soil

You can then put the mulch back on top and water normally reapplying every 6 weeks
