Brandon sanderson has created a spellbinding world. Immersive world draws you in. World-building is unique and sooo interesting.

Overall, i wish i hadn't read the book, as it has sullied my view of the author a bit. The fanatic hype around these books still baffles me. The smurfette principle is bad writing.

Hated this. What an insulting waste of time. Who cares when there's another party to go to and a rich boy to pine over? Not in the slightest.

It's morally simplistic, and the setting feels lifeless. It features graphic violence and acknowledgements of adult *. Unfortunately, these elements don't provide the additional depth or maturity one might hope.

The magic system feels silly and convoluted. The magic is inventive and clearly defined but rendered worthless by its undramatic acquisition and use.
