It's free-standing and holds the hay securely. It keeps the little girls from sleeping in, popping on and scattering about their hay. Cage stays cleaner, very sturdy and easy to clean.

This item is basically trash. That’s why i changed my rating. Now it's just useless.

My bunnies are only 4lbs so they're not even like the humongous ones. Is also small, barely holds any hay and a lot of it just spills out does not reduce waste. Had high hopes for this feeder but just didn't work for our piggies.
