Pros & Cons
Pros
It sharpens from top of the line to crayola pencils very well. Works great on caran d'ache luminosity, faber polychrome, tombow and prismacolor. Afmat ps-bo6 electric sharpener to be best for graphite and colored pencils.
High quality sharpener with replaceable blades. The angle your pencil is sharpened at is perfect. The blades are of quality german steel and replacement blades are available. They are serviceable/replaceable.
They seem to fit pretty much everything including my derwents with their thicker barrels. You have to use the bigger hole for pastels to minimize that breakage because pastels are fragile and brittle.
It's heavy and sturdy. It's solid and durable. No flimsy materials on it.
Bought 1 and then promptly ordered 2 more. Worth every penny. I hope the company that makes them thrives long into the future.
Cons
It is built like a tank. Problem is it grabs large chunks of wood and graphite as it cuts. Chops up the pencil, zero chance at a smooth twist.

Its so well made and sharpens a pencil to a spear point in seconds.
This sharpener is constructed out of high quality materials, is built to last, compact, and has a superior design.

It doesn't seem to work well with carbon pencils and if you use conte à paris pencils they are too big for this sharpener.
Price
For around 10 bucks, i’ve no complaint with m+r and with this latest purchase.
You could spend less and buy a cheaper sharpener.

This might be a little pricey for a hand held sharpener but if you’re an artist and use high quality, expensive products.
Shipping
I immediately tried it out upon delivery with great results.
Competitiveness
I recently tried lyra poly color pencils too and it works well with those.
Its performance is superior to any of the sharpeners i have purchased before.
I prefer this sharpener over other manual or electric sharpeners.
I have several other brands of manual sharpeners, but none work with a square pencil.
