Pros & Cons
Pros
The fatboy capenter pencil is simple, and accommodates two sizes. And accommodates different size pencils. They seem to fit pretty much everything including my derwents with their thicker barrels.
Works great on caran d'ache luminosity, faber polychrome, tombow and prismacolor. It sharpens from top of the line to crayola pencils very well.
It's heavy and sturdy. Well machined, heavy material and easy to hold. No flimsy materials on it.
The blade is extremely sharp and just slices cleanly through both the lead and the wood. The blades are of quality german steel and replacement blades are available.
This sharpener creates a consistent pencil point which is critical when doing more precise carpentry. Holds the pencil at a consistent angle and cuts like butter.
Cons
I feel cheated given that amazon advertised the blades as the ones to buy with it. After sharpening about 60 pencils, it is now worthless. Perhaps the blade is dull or faulty.
