Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The möbius + ruppert sharpener is a compact, lightweight sharpener. German engineering at its best. I own all kinds of sharpeners (crank and electric) and this is by far, my go to!

Superb pencil sharpener. Works perfectly with prismacolor and faber-castell colored pencils. While my prismacolors still break occassionally, this makes the occurence less frequent.

Cons

The sharpener is light and cheap. Has m & r stamp, but no packaging or identifying papers.

Quality

Very well made and does everything that the product description says it will do

Great sharpener, works well with prismacolor premier pencils

Every sharpener that i have tried either breaks the lead or you can't get a really sharp point.

The first was the round, puck shaped, brass sharpener.

Price

A great value sleek design that works.

You can spend money buying a handful of inexpensive pencils sharpeners hoping to find a good one.

] why spend more on a sharpener, i might ask.

Shipping

They were delivered way earlier than expected and well packaged.

However this style or designed manual sharpener does the best job that i have found in over 55 yrs of ‘doodling’ and coloring endeavors and ‘no’ i am not an artist… to sharpen or ‘point’ a pencil with

This sharpener doesn’t ‘grind’ the wood or excess off instead it ‘shaves’ the pencil’s ‘barrel ‘ or wood off all depending upon ‘howmuch’ force and ‘torque’ you so apply on the pencil as you sharpen it

The earlier model was nearly 10 yrs in usage and it was still ‘sharpening’ as if brand new the blades last

I say – try it out if you are looking for a great sharpener for your pencils
