Some cases i have gone through have just been really thin cheap plastic that are not very secure to the top and bottom halves of the phone sliding off of one or the other but not this one

The top and bottom halves of this case are not connected but fit very snug to the phone with no give to them

The hinge protector is not connected to the top half but unlike some cases the hinge protector has springs that pushes it back into place when you fold the phone which i really like

The built in screen protector is only plastic but does not hinder your ability to use the front screen like some other cases

There is also a lip at the edge of the front screen protector to keep it off the surface it falls on to
