Finally moen came out with this replacement it appears to be some sort of durable abs plastic as opposed to the brittle cheap plastic fro mteh 90s

After trying and failing to glue the original broken piece this was exactly what was needed to do the job correctly

The adapters were clear plastic and had cracked making it impossible to turn the water off

I swapped them out for these replacements which are color coded red for hot and blue for cold
