As the old valve had the metal stem broken off, had to drill in a long screw then remove with the back end of a hammer to pry it out.

I would recommend the 1222b cartridge as it appears to be the commercial grade version of the 1222 for which reviews of the latter are somewhat mixed

Took some work to remove the old valve as the plastic piece to help remove it is too pliable
